A Choice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJKLK MNONPBQ

Sure they get stubborn at times they worry andA
fret us a lotB
But I'd rather be crossed by a glad little boyC
and frequently worried than notB
There are hours when they get on my nervesD
and set my poor brain all awhirlE
But I'd rather be troubled that way than to beF
the man who has no little girlE
-
There are times they're a nuisance that's trueG
with all of their racket and noiseH
But I'd rather my personal pleasures be lost thanI
to give up my girls and my boysH
Not always they're perfectly good there areJ
times when they're wilfully badK
But I'd rather be worried by youngsters of mineL
than lonely and childless and sadK
-
So I try to be patient and calm whenever they'reM
having their flingN
For the sum of their laughter and love is moreO
than the worry they bringN
And each night when sweet peace settles downP
and I see them asleep in their cotB
I chuckle and say 'They upset me to day butQ
I'd rather be that way than not '-
