Free Slaves Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHCI HJKLH

The men who greeted our forefathersA
And plundered the treasures of the black soil are here againB
Those men who bound the men of our landC
In fetters to till the strange landsD
And took our maidens to warm their beds have come backE
-
After leaving us in the lurchF
They have returned not with handcuffsG
But with mindcuffs and the bonds of usuryH
To rule over the sons of the landC
We have now become marionettes in the hands of the puppeteerI
-
Our land which overflowed with milk and honeyH
Is now parched and near deathJ
There is no more GoldK
Nor Ivory at the CoastL
When will the free slaves be freeH
