| Ripped the dark sky in half | K |
| And split the ancient baobab tree | L |
| In the middle of the town into pieces | M |
| A long loud roll of thunder | N |
| Deafened man and beast alike | O |

| The house top sheets clanged in pain | C |
| And the thatch roofs danced in the wind | E |
| But not a pearl of water kissed | P |
| The belly of the hungry pots sitting | J |
| Under the storm tossed eaves | Q |
| In a little while the storm gave way | G |
| And the exiled sun returned | R |
| To greet the fear stricken faces | M |
| Of the dwellers in the GEMI mountains | S |
