When The World Is Burning Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAACDDEFFFE AAGAAAGHHIAAAI

When the world is burningA
Fired within yet turningA
Round with face unscathedB
Ere fierce flames uprushingA
O'er all lands leap crushingA
Till earth fall fire swathedC
Up amidst the meadowsD
Gently through the shadowsD
Gentle flames will glideE
Small and blue and goldenF
Though by bard beholdenF
When in calm dreams foldenF
Calm his dreams will bideE
-
Where the dance is sweepingA
Through the greensward peepingA
Shall the soft lights startG
Laughing maids unstayingA
Deeming it trick playingA
High their robes upswayingA
O'er the lights shall dartG
And the woodland haunterH
Shall not cease to saunterH
When far down some gladeI
Of the great world's burningA
One soft flame upturningA
Seems to his discerningA
Crocus in the shadeI
