Plaint Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAA AAA AAA AAA AAA AAA AAA AAA

Dark deep and cold the current flowsA
Unto the sea where no wind blowsA
Seeking the land which no one knowsA
-
O'er its sad gloom still comes and goesA
The mingled wail of friends and foesA
Borne to the land which no one knowsA
-
Why shrieks for help yon wretch who goesA
With millions from a world of woesA
Unto the land which no one knowsA
-
Though myriads go with him who goesA
Alone he goes where no wind blowsA
Unto the land which no one knowsA
-
For all must go where no wind blowsA
And none can go for him who goesA
None none return whence no one knowsA
-
Yet why should he who shrieking goesA
With millions from a world of woesA
Reunion seek with it or thoseA
-
Alone with God where no wind blowsA
And Death his shadow doom'd he goesA
That God is there the shadow showsA
-
O shoreless Deep where no wind blowsA
And thou O Land which no one knowsA
That God is All His shadow showsA
