The Apparition Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DCEC FGHG IEJE KHDH

Gentle angel with your mantleA
All of tender greenB
I was yearning for a visionC
Of the life unseenB
-
When you hovered in the sunsetD
Just as rain was doneC
Where the dropping from the poplarsE
Seemed like rain begunC
-
There you gathered forming slowlyF
Rounding into viewG
All your vesture glowed like verdureH
When the sap is newG
-
Then you mutely gave your warningI
And I felt the stressE
Of its passion and its presageJ
And its utternessE
-
There you swayed one tranquil momentK
Mystically fairH
Then you were not of the sunsetD
Were not in the airH
