What Will You Give? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFE GHHG HIIH CJJC

What will you give me if I will wedA
A golden gownB
To come sweetly downB
And deck you from foot to headA
-
How will you keep me if I am coldC
By a heart so warmD
The bravest stormD
Dare not force through my strong hands' holdC
-
How will you please me if I should thirstE
Why by the rapeF
Of the purple grapeF
Which the summer and sun have nursedE
-
If I should hunger what may I eatG
For you the skiesH
The falcon fliesH
And the hounds on the stag are fleetG
-
How can you comfort when fair youth diesH
When the spirit's fainI
For a purer gainI
Than the satisfied flesh suppliesH
-
But this I promise when starved and coldC
A lonely soulJ
Finds for its goalJ
A six foot bed and churchyard mouldC
