The Land Of Yesterday Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CDCDEEFG EEBB HCCCIIJJ KKBB

And I would seek the country townA
Amid green meadows nestled downA
If I could only find the wayB
Back to the Land of YesterdayB
-
How I would thrust the miles asideC
Rush up the quiet lane and thenD
Just where her roses laughed in prideC
Find her among the flowers againD
I'd slip in silently and waitE
Until she saw me by the gateE
And then read through a blur of tearsF
Quick pardon for the selfish yearsG
-
This time this time I would not waitE
For that brief wire that said Too lateE
If I could only find the wayB
Into the Land of YesterdayB
-
I wonder if her roses yetH
Lift up their heads and laugh with prideC
And if her phlox and mignonetteC
Have heart to blossom by their sideC
I wonder if the dear old laneI
Still chirps with robins after rainI
And if the birds and banded beesJ
Still rob her early cherry treesJ
-
I wonder if I went there nowK
How everything would seem and howK
But no not now there is no wayB
Back to the Land of YesterdayB
