Over The Hillside Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

FAREWELL In dimmer distanceA
I watch your figures glideB
Across the sunny moorlandC
The brown hillsideB
-
Each momently up risingD
Large dark against the skyE
Then in the vacant moorlandC
Alone sit IE
-
Within the unknown countryF
Where your lost footsteps passG
What beauty decks the heavensH
And clothes the grassG
-
Over the mountains shoulderI
What glories may unfoldJ
Though I see but the mountainK
Bleak bare and coldJ
-
And the white road slow windingD
To where each after eachL
You slipped away ah witherI
I cannot reachL
-
And if I call what answersM
Only 'twixt earth and skyE
Like wail of parting spiritN
The curlew's cryE
-
-
-
Yet sunny is the moorlandC
And soft the pleasant airO
And little flowers like blessingsP
Grow everywhereO
-
While over all the mountainK
Stands sombre calm and stillQ
Immutable and steadfastR
As the One WillQ
-
Which done on earth in heavenK
Eternally confessedS
By men and saints and angelsT
Be ever blestS
-
Under its infinite shadowU
Safer than light of oursM
I'll sit me down a littleV
And gather flowersM
-
Then I will rise and followU
After the setting dayW
Without one wish to lingerI
The appointed wayW
