On The Cliff-top Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCAD EEFFGG HHIIJJ KKLLMM NNOOPQ

FACE upward to the skyA
Quiet I lieA
Quiet as if the finger of God's willB
Had bade this human mechanism 'be still 'C
And sent the intangible essence this strange IA
All wondering forth to His eternityD
-
Below the sea's sound faintE
As dying saintE
Telling of gone by sorrows long at restF
Above the fearless sea gull's shimmering breastF
Painted a moment on the dark blue skiesG
A hovering joy that while I watch it fliesG
-
Alike unheeded nowH
Old griefs and thouH
Quick wing d Joy that like a bird at playI
Pleasest thyself to visit me to dayI
On the cliff top earth dim and heaven clearJ
My soul lies calmly above hope or fearJ
-
But not do Thou forbidK
Whose stainless lidK
Wept tears at Lazarus' grave and looking downL
Afar off upon Solyma's doomed townL
Ah not above love human yet divineM
Which Thee seen first in Thee sees all of ThineM
-
Is't sunset The keen breezeN
Blows from the seasN
And at my side a pleasant vision standsO
With her brown eyes and kind extended handsO
Dear we'll go down together and full fainP
From the cliff top to the busy world againQ
