For Music Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCBADAD ABABEEBADAD

ALONG the shore along the shoreA
I see the wavelets meetingB
But thee I see ah never moreA
For all my wild heart's beatingB
The little wavelets come and goC
The tide of life ebbs to and froC
Advancing and retreatingB
But from the shore the steadfast shoreA
The sea is parted neverD
And mine I hold thee evermoreA
Forever and foreverD
-
Along the shore along the shoreA
I hear the waves resoundingB
But thou wilt cross them nevermoreA
For all my wild heart's boundingB
The moon comes out above the tideE
And quiets all the billows wideE
Her pathway bright surroundingB
Thus on the shore the dreary shoreA
I walk with weak endeavorD
I have thy love's light evermoreA
Forever and foreverD
