A Spirit Present Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIHJKLK MNONPQRS CTUTKVWV

IF coming from that unknown sphereA
Where I believe thou artB
The world unseen which girds our worldC
So close yet so apartB
Thy soul's soft call unto my soulD
Electrical could reachE
And mortal and immortal blendF
In one familiar speechE
-
What wouldst thou say to me wouldst askG
What since did me befallH
Or close this chasm of cruel yearsI
Between us knowing allH
Wouldst love me thy pure eyes seeing thatJ
God only saw besideK
O love me 'T was so hard to liveL
So easy to have diedK
-
If while this dizzy whirl of lifeM
A moment pausing stayedN
I face to face with thee could standO
I would not be afraidN
Not though from heaven to heaven thy feetP
In glad ascent have trodQ
While mine took through earth's miry waysR
Their solitary roadS
-
We could not lose each other WorldC
On world piled ever higherT
Would part like banked clouds lightning cleftU
By our two souls' desireT
Life ne'er divided us death triedK
But could not Love's voice fineV
Called luring through the dark then ceasedW
And I am wholly thineV
