| All flaunting robes of earthly strife | E |

| Shred off like votive locks of hair | F |
| Youth's ornaments of pride and strength | G |

| The silence of that bier to share | F |

| Lorn memory tried to print that face | I |
| On the heart's ever vacant place | I |
| With a sun finger sharp and strong | H |

| Into the coffin's strange new bound | D |
