Ko Ko Ko The woodpecker wentC
Its voice as caressing to the smiling heartD
Its knock enticing the grow able budE

It is the sound that precedes the dawnF
And the seed in Canaan starts the sproutingG
And the seedling begins the growingG
And the gardeners commence to mournH

Weren't you pleased with the sweet guildI
Now you aren't ready for the blessed commodityA
Did you expect one to do the multiplicityA
Yet to each other you are gluedJ

When the day dawns at duskK
Life will patently use its chalkL
