Summer Nights Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHD IBE JKL AM

The factory siren tells workers time to go homeA
tells them the evening has begunB
When living with the tall manC
-
whom I didn't love I would wanderD
the streets dreaming of ItalyE
Trekking the handful of avenuesF
-
with him he would say look thereG
between pink cobblestonesH
there's manure like mortarD
-
The sweet smell of it Wednesday nightsI
the night before auctionB
when the misery of cows greets meE
-
heading home through townJ
Lake quiets tired of my liesK
When will I tell truths againL
-
The siren My love is homeA
Nights we stay in and X the daysM
