Dear Deborah Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGG HGGI GJKL MBNO PJQR GLST UGVW

They tell me that your heartA
has been found in IowaB
pumping along InterstateC
Do you want it backD
-
When the cold comes onE
this fast it's Iowa againF
where pollen dispersesG
evenly on the dented FordsG
-
where white houses sagH
by the town's corn silosG
where people in the housesG
sicken on corn dustI
-
Auctions sell entire farmsG
It's not the auctions that's upsettingJ
but what they sell the ragged towelK
or the armless doll for a dollarL
-
I hear they've foundM
an eye of yours in OsceolaB
calling out to your mouth in Davis CityN
That mouth of yours is in the barO
-
the only place left in townP
slow dancing and smokingJ
It's no wonder you look so paleQ
Ever wish you'd done moreR
-
with your thirty yearsG
Seeing you last week I wonderL
if you crave that skyS
filled with the milky wayT
-
or the sight of Amish girls in blueU
at sunset against wheat colored prairie grassG
Here the trees are full of gossipV
They're waiting to see what you'll do nextW
