It was rackit the day spreadin' dungF
Hae Peter Come owre wi' the lamp like a manE
Till the doctor can look at my tongueF

Fine acquaint wi' her weel soopled jawH
Sae he lowsed his tap button for ease till his wameI
Wi' a gant at the wag at the wa'B
Weel Isie says he an' it's me that should kenE
That's the ae place ye niver hae crampJ
The lamp's bidin' here if he's seekin' a sichtA
