The Journey Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEDDFGHIBJKLFMND

I am looking for a pastA
I can rely onB
in order to look to deathC
with equanimityD
What was given meD
my mother s largenessE
to protect meD
my father s regularityD
in coming home from workF
at night his opening the doorG
silently and smilingH
pleased to be backI
and the lights onB
in all the roomsJ
through which I could runK
freely or sit at easeL
at table and do my homeworkF
undisturbed love arrangedM
as order directed at the next dayN
Going to bed was a journeyD
