Play Again Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEFGHIJKLIMNMOPQRSTU GNOV

Late in New York newspapers reported the story of a nine yearA
old child being raped on a roof and hurled twenty stories to theB
groundC
-
I draw near to the roof's edgeD
and seek someone to liftE
and hurl me out into vacant airF
I want to turn over and overG
rapidly in my plunge my mouthH
open to scream but air rushingI
upwards jams my throatJ
I am seeking the peaceK
I never once gave up onL
and this is the final way to find it The livingI
share me among them They tasteM
me on the ground they taste meN
in the air descending They tasteM
me screaming nine years oldO
I have playmatesP
and I leave behind my skullQ
in their dreams hands to mouthsR
It is because they have no helpS
as if to hint to them the wayT
if they would understandU
When we played it was to love each otherG
in games Play again and love meN
until I really die when you are oldO
on a flight of stairsV
