African Woman Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH FIHJKG LMNOPO

Womanhood is a prideA
Tied around her waistB
To package her mountainC
In her little boubouD
Heavy backside complimentingE
Her radiant black skinF
To showboat her beautyG
To tell the story of her resilienceH
-
Fashionly dressed in her africanaF
With her head tie knottedI
To soothe her submissive presenceH
She carries the fabric of our shared traditionsJ
Eligantly through the window of a worldK
Demoralized with nudityG
-
I salute her Woman of the dinning tableL
She carries the sun on her shoulderM
While counting her dancing steps in the ashesN
of broken dreamsO
To placed her sweat in the bowlP
Of contentment and of fufillmentsO
