Poem title The Bird's CryC
-
Shall I begin to tell of my hard timesD
You admire my color voice and natureE
My song brings you to a good timeF
You've never seen my sorrow and tortureE
The land which I tread upon smells wickednessG
Yet to you I've got no problemsH
I fly to different places to get daily bread in doggednessH
Yet to you I've got no problemsH
-
When the ground is hardI
And the leaves on the trees get driedJ
To nurture my children becomes hardI
My nest the hunters triedJ
To put to an end and make me childlessH
And to you I'm a queen without trialsH
I tried to weather the storm but I was helplessH
And to you I'm a queen without trialsH
-
How long will you keep judging me from farK
What hearts would believe that I'm not the luckiest as you see me to beL
I know what I seeL
And you don't know how farK
My peaks pierce just to liveM
How far my wings go in search of green leavesH
I see what I know you can't seeL
What hearts would believe that life is not as easy as they think it isH
