Caged and held tight by its pin | A |
But I was oblivious of this | B |
When I'm ruled by my fleshly bliss | B |

I sought my praise | C |
Exalting myself and the worldly raise | C |
But held in the cage of sin | A |
I was revolving around its spin | A |

I took the garment of self righteousness | D |
But my Achilles heel held me in its steadfastness | D |
Yes everyone has an Achilles heel | E |
But I know God can change it still | F |

I desired the things that are hidden | G |
I love to see the dirty pictures of natures forbidden | G |
I thought morality could break me loose | H |
I never knew I was still in its shoes | I |

I fasted and prayed | J |
Yet the stain still stayed | J |
I held personal vigils with crying | K |
Yet in all that I haven't started trying | K |

I thought I had overcome | L |
But after some weeks I'm found in its pit how come | L |
I thought I was free | M |
Now I know I'm still bound by its key | M |

I emptied my bucket of personal efforts | N |
All in a bid to be the person I'd wished to be in victory's forts | O |
Weak and pale I looked like a tail | P |
I lay helplessly on the ground of captivity looking stale | P |

Lord please I plead for Mercy | M |
I know I'm not fit but please remember me and forgive my hypocrisy | M |
Set me loose for I'm weak and tired tied up in deaths kingdom | L |
Oh Dear Lord hear my cry for Freedom | L |
