Guide To The Other Gallery Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEF GCHC IHJH KLKL MNMN

This is the hall of broken limbsA
Where splintered marble athletes lieB
Beside the arms of cherubimC
Nothing is ever thrown awayD
-
These butterflies are set in rowsE
So small and gray inside their caseF
They look alike now I supposeE
Death makes most creatures commonplaceF
-
These portraits here of the unknownG
Are hung three high frame piled on frameC
Each potent soul who craved renownH
Immortalized without a nameC
-
Here are the shelves of unread booksI
Millions of pages turning brownH
Visitors wander through the stacksJ
But no one ever takes one downH
-
I wish I were a better guideK
There's so much more that you should seeL
Rows of bottles with nothing insideK
Displays of locks which have no keyL
-
You'd like to go I wish you couldM
This room has such a peaceful viewN
Look at that case of antique woodM
Without a label It's for youN
