The carriage brushes through the bright | B |
Leaves violent jets from life to light | B |
Strong polished speed is plunging heaves | C |
Between the showers of bright hot leaves | C |
The window glasses glaze our faces | D |
And jar them to the very basis | E |
But they could never put a polish | F |
Upon my manners or abolish | F |
My most distinct disinclination | G |
For calling on a rich relation | G |
In her house bulwark built between | H |
The life man lives and visions seen | H |
The sunlight hiccups white as chalk | I |
Grown drunk with emptiness of talk | J |
And silence hisses like a snake | K |
Invertebrate and rattling ache | K |
Then suddenly Eternity | L |
Drowns all the houses like a sea | L |
And down the street the Trump of Doom | M |
Blares madly shakes the drawing room | M |
Where raw edged shadows sting forlorn | N |
As dank dark nettles Down the horn | N |
Of her ear trumpet I convey | O |
The news that 'It is Judgment Day ' | - |
'Speak louder I don't catch my dear ' | - |
I roared 'It is the Trump we hear ' | - |
'The What ' 'THE TRUMP ' 'I shall complain | P |
the boy scouts practising again ' | - |
