| That quivers between my eyes and mouth | D |
| Flies like a wild thing across my body | E |

| Filling my still breasts with a flush and a flame | F |
| Gathering the soft ripples below my breasts | C |
| Into urgent passionate waves | C |
| And my soft slumbering belly | E |
| Quivering awake with one impulse of desire | G |
| Gathers itself fiercely together | G |
| And my docile fluent arms | C |
| Knotting themselves with wild strength | H |
| To clasp what they have never clasped | I |
