From A College Window Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF

The glimmer of the limes sun heavy sleepingA
Goes trembling past me up the College wallB
Below the lawn in soft blue shade is keepingA
The daisy froth quiescent softly in thrallB
-
Beyond the leaves that overhang the streetC
Along the flagged clean pavement summer whiteD
Passes the world with shadows at their feetC
Going left and rightD
-
Remote although I hear the beggar's coughE
See the woman's twinkling fingers tend him a coinF
I sit absolved assured I am better offG
Beyond a world I never want to joinF
