New Year's Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA BCB DED DFD GHG

Now you are mine to night at last I say itA
You're a dove I have bought for sacrificeB
And to night I slay itA
-
Here in my arms my naked sacrificeB
Death do you hear in my arms I am bringingC
My offering bought at great priceB
-
She's a silvery dove worth more than all I've gotD
Now I offer her up to the ancient inexorable GodE
Who knows me notD
-
Look she's a wonderful dove without blemish or spotD
I sacrifice all in her my last of the worldF
Pride strength all the lotD
-
All all on the altar And death swooping downG
Like a falcon 'Tis God has taken the victimH
I have won my renownG
