Loggerheads Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFG BHIH JKLK LMNM LMOM

Please yourself how you have itA
Take my words and flingB
Them down on the counter roundlyC
See if they ringB
-
Sift my looks and expressionsD
And see what proportion there isE
Of sand in my doubtful sugarF
Of veritiesG
-
Have a real stock takingB
Of my manly breastH
Find out if I'm sound or bankruptI
Or a poor thing at bestH
-
For I am quite indifferentJ
To your dubious stateK
As to whether you've found a fortuneL
In me or a flea bitten fateK
-
Make a good investigationL
Of all that is thereM
And then if it's worth it be gratefulN
If not then despairM
-
If despair is our portionL
Then let us despairM
Let us make for the weeping willowO
I don't careM
