Liaison Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HFIF DADA DJDK AAAA

A big bud of moon hangs out of the twilightA
Star spiders spinning their threadB
Hang high suspended withouten respiteC
Watching us overheadB
-
Come then under the trees where the leaf clothsD
Curtain us in so darkE
That here we're safe from even the ermin moth'sD
Flitting remarkE
-
Here in this swarthy secret tentF
Where black boughs flap the groundG
You shall draw the thorn from my discontentF
Surgeon me soundG
-
This rare rich night For in hereH
Under the yew tree tentF
The darkness is loveliest where I could searI
You like frankincense into scentF
-
Here not even the stars can spy usD
Not even the white moths writeA
With their little pale signs on the wall to try usD
And set us affrightA
-
Kiss but then the dust from off my lipsD
But draw the turgid painJ
From my breast to your bosom eclipseD
My soul againK
-
Waste me not I beg you wasteA
Not the inner nightA
Taste oh taste and let me tasteA
The core of delightA
