Both Sides Of The Medal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA ABCD EBFGAHIA JAKL AHMMAN AOPHA QPLR KSL

And because you love meA
think you you do not hate meA
Ha since you love me to ecstasyA
it follows you hate me to ecstasyA
-
Because when you hear meA
go down the road outside the houseB
you must come to the window to watch me goC
do you think it is pure worshipD
-
Because when I sit in the roomE
here in my own houseB
and you want to enlarge yourself with this friend of mineF
such a friend as he isG
yet you cannot get beyond your awareness of meA
you are held back by my being in the same world with youH
do you think it is bliss aloneI
sheer harmonyA
-
No doubt if I were dead you mustJ
reach into death after meA
but would not your hate reach even more madly than your loveK
your impassioned unfinished hateL
-
Since you have a passion for meA
as I for youH
does not that passion stand in your way like a Balaam's assM
and am I not Balaam's assM
golden mouthed occasionallyA
But mostly do you not detest my brayN
-
Since you are confined in the orbit of meA
do you not loathe the confinementO
Is not even the beauty and peace of an orbitP
an intolerable prison to youH
as it is to everybodyA
-
But we will learn to submitQ
each of us to the balanced eternal orbitP
wherein we circle on our fateL
in strange conjunctionR
-
What is chaos my loveK
It is not freedomS
A disarray of falling stars coming to noughtL
