Rest Is Not Here Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EFGG HHDD IIJJ KKGL MMNN

Sleep is a luxury I avoid it so wellA
Without a break I'm nothing but a shellA
I need a break from the screams in my headB
Anything to get away from the lies I was fedB
-
Will anyone care to see the girl who stayed up past twelveC
No that's is a matter of which they don't want to delveC
My memories haunt me at nightD
My only wish is that I'd just give up the fightD
-
Simple lines bring back simple timesE
A simple enough task to make these words rhymeF
Simple as they may be they speak freely for meG
Under the cover of night my mind is freeG
-
Sleep scares me and so does my mindH
Because when I try rest I feel so blindH
Say what you want believe what you mightD
But I'm not going to be there to say I was rightD
-
Its gotten late two hours ago my eyes hurtI
But its better than reminiscing painful conversations short and curtI
My mouth is bitten raw blood flows like waterJ
So this is what has become of your sweet daughterJ
-
Watch me wither away I refuse to restK
No matter how many say its for the bestK
Look closely and then you'll seeG
The self love that I had is deeply asleepL
-
I'm still awake expect the worstM
I'm beggining to thing I'm cursedM
The clock on the wall is ticking awayN
Its becoming harder to pretend I'm okayN
