The Path That Leads To Nowhere Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE AFGFHIJI KBCBLMAM ANGNOPAP

There's a path that leads to NowhereA
In a meadow that I knowB
Where an inland island risesC
And the stream is still and slowB
There it wanders under willowsD
And beneath the silver greenE
Of the birches' silent shadowsD
Where the early violets leanE
-
Other pathways lead to SomewhereA
But the one I love so wellF
Had no end and no beginningG
Just the beauty of the dellF
Just the windflowers and the liliesH
Yellow striped as adder's tongueI
Seem to satisfy my pathwayJ
As it winds their sweets amongI
-
There I go to meet the SpringtimeK
When the meadow is aglowB
Marigolds amid the marshesC
And the stream is still and slowB
There I find my fair oasisL
And with care free feet I treadM
For the pathway leads to NowhereA
And the blue is overheadM
-
All the ways that lead to SomewhereA
Echo with the hurrying feetN
Of the Struggling and the StrivingG
But the way I find so sweetN
Bids me dream and bids me lingerO
Joy and Beauty are its goalP
On the path that leads to NowhereA
I have sometimes found my soulP
