The City Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH IJKLMNGO

You said I will go to another land I will go to another seaA
Another city will be found a better one than thisB
Every effort of mine is a condemnation of fateC
and my heart is like a corpse buriedD
How long will my mind remain in this wastelandE
Wherever I turn my eyes wherever I may lookF
I see black ruins of my life hereG
where I spent so many years destroying and wastingH
-
You will find no new lands you will find no other seasI
The city will follow you You will roam the sameJ
streets And you will age in the same neighborhoodsK
and you will grow gray in these same housesL
Always you will arrive in this city Do not hope for any otherM
There is no ship for you there is no roadN
As you have destroyed your life hereG
in this little corner you have ruinded it in the entire worldO
