Sophist Leaving Syria Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGFHBIF

Eminent sophist now that you are leaving SyriaA
with plans to write a book about AntiochB
it's worth your mentioning Mevis in your workC
the famous Mevis unquestionablyD
the best looking the most adored young manE
in all Antioch No one of the othersF
living his kind of life no one of them gets paidG
what he gets paid To have MevisF
just for two or three days they often giveH
as much as a hundred staters I said in AntiochB
but in Alexandria as well in fact in Rome evenI
you can't find a young man as attractive as MevisF
