| not only the beds on which you lay | B |
| but also those desires which for you | C |
| plainly glowed in the eyes | D |
| and trembled in the voice and some | E |
| chance obstacle made them futile | F |
| Now that all belongs to the past | G |
| it is almost as if you had yielded | H |
| to those desires too remember | I |
| how they glowed in the eyes looking at you | C |
| how they trembled in the voice for you remember body | J |
