Prayer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CD EB FG

A sailor drowned in the sea's depthsA
Unaware his mother goes and lightsB
-
a tall candle before the ikon of our LadyC
praying that he'll come back quickly that the weather may be goodD
-
her ear cocked always to the windE
While she prays and supplicatesB
-
the ikon listens solemn sadF
knowing the son she waits for never will come backG
