Mithridatis glorious and powerfulA
ruler of great citiesB
master of strong armies and fleetsC
on the march to Sinopi took a routeD
through a remote part of the countryE
where a soothsayer livedF
-
Mithridatis sent one of his officersG
to ask the soothsayer how much more wealthH
how much more power he'd accumulate in the futureI
-
He dispatched one of his officersG
then continued his march to SinopiJ
-
The soothsayer withdrew into a secret roomK
About a half an hour later he came outL
troubled and said to the officerI
I wasn't able to clarify things very wellM
Today is not a propitious dayN
there were some murky shadows I didn't understand them fullyE
But I think the king should be content with what he hasO
Anything more will prove dangerous for himP
Remember officer to tell him thatQ
for God's sake to be satisfied with what he hasO
Fortune changes suddenlyE
Tell King Mithridatis thisR
it's extremely rare to come across anyone like his ancestor's companionS
that noble companion who wrote in the earth with his lanceT
those timely words that saved him Escape Mithridatis '-
