Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEFBFGFH

Observing then that there is great contempt for the godsA
among us he says in his solemn wayB
Contempt But what did he expectC
Let him organize religion as much as he likedD
write to the High Priest of Galatia as much as he likedD
or to others of his kind inciting them giving instructionsE
His friends weren't Christians that much was certainF
But even so they couldn't playB
as he could brought up a ChristianF
with a new religious systemG
ludicrous in both theory and applicationF
They were after all Greeks Nothing in excess AugustusH
