Grey Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GH DIJ

Looking at an opal a half grey opalA
I remembered two beautiful grey eyesB
I had seen it must have been twenty years beforeC
-
For a month we loved each otherD
Then he went away I think to SmyrnaE
To work there we never saw each other againF
-
The grey eyes if he lives have lost their beautyG
The beautiful face will have been spoiledH
-
O Memory preserve them as they wereD
And Memory all you can of this love of mineI
Whatever you can bring back to me tonightJ
