now seemed dull and alienI
And he told them 'to stop wailing for himJ
that kind of thing was all wrongK
They ought to be singing his praisesL
for having been a great rulerM
a rich heroic manN
And if he'd fallen now he hadn't fallen humblyO
but as a Roman vanquished by a Roman 'P
