Annihilation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBB BCBC DBDB BEBF GHGH IBIB HBHB GJGJ

While the blue noon above us archesA
And the poplar sheds disconsolate leavesB
Tell me again why love bewitchesB
And what love givesB
-
It is the trembling finger that tracesB
The eyebrow s curve the curve of the cheekC
The mouth that quivers when the hand caressesB
But cannot speakC
-
No not these not in these is hiddenD
The secret more than in other thingsB
Not only the touch of a hand can gladdenD
Till the blood singsB
-
It is the leaf that falls between usB
The bells that murmur the shadows that moveE
The autumnal sunlight that fades upon usB
These things are loveF
-
It is the No let us sit here longerG
The Wait till tomorrow the Once I knewH
These trifles said as I touch your fingerG
And the clock strikes twoH
-
The world is intricate and we are nothingI
It is the complex world of grassB
A twig on the path a look of loathingI
Feelings that passB
-
These are the secret And I could hate youH
When as I lean for another kissB
I see in your eyes that I do not meet youH
And that love is thisB
-
Rock meeting rock can know love betterG
Than eyes that stare or lips that touchJ
All that we know in love is bitterG
And it is not muchJ
