A roll of the dice could send a girl to jail | B |
The money was pink blue gold as well as green | C |
and we could own a whole railroad | D |
or speculate in hotels where others dreaded staying | E |
the cost was extortionary | F |

every teaspoon in the dining car every spike | G |
driven into the planks by immigrants | H |
every crooked mayor | F |
But then with only the clothes on our backs | I |
we ran outside laughing | E |
