To Sleep Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KLKL

I will find out a place for thee O SleepA
A hidden wood among the hill tops greenB
Full of soft streams and little winds that creepA
The murmuring boughs betweenB
-
A hollow cup above the ocean placedC
Where nothing rough nor loud nor harsh shall beD
But woodland light and shadow interlacedC
And summer sky and seaD
-
There in the fragrant twilight I will raiseE
A secret altar of the rich sea sodF
Whereat to offer sacrifice and praiseE
Unto my lonely godF
-
Due sacrifice of his own drowsy flowersG
The deadening poppies in an ocean shellH
Round which through all forgotten days and hoursG
The great seas wove their spellH
-
So may he send me dreams of dear delightI
And draughts of cool oblivion quenching painJ
And sweet half wakeful moments in the nightI
To hear the falling rainJ
-
And when he meets me at the dusk of dayK
To call me home for ever this I askL
That he may lead me friendly on that wayK
And wear no frightful maskL
