When Life Stood Still

When life stood still

There were no parks; there were no people

Everyone scared of what was lethal

The fear that others make them ill

There was no hugging and no kissing

Our days were spent in solitude

Our sense of time was going missing

Yet hearts endured with fortitude

How hard it was to stay apart from

Those special people we hold dear

Oh how we wished that they were near

So that we wouldn’t be so glum

When this is over I’ll remember

Make every single minute count

When this is over I will treasure

The moments spent with my dear ones
