Winter Midnight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFDGHIJFKLHHMNB

After our fond reiterate farewellsA
In the shadow of the wall between the lamplight and the moonB
I left you and returned and torn from you once moreC
Departed loath and laggardlyD
Into the icy luminous immense white nightE
But though my every step was a gulf dividing usF
On ways forlorn and chillD
I was not cold nor sorrowful nor aloneG
Nor friended by regretH
For love went with me like the warmth of a happy roomI
And soft enfolding armsJ
And the widening space between usF
Was somehow one with loveK
And evermore I knewL
That your heart and my heart were islandedH
In the self same throbbing sea of happiness and lightH
And washed by the self same waves of vibrant memoryM
Like shores of halcyon summerN
Where halcyon perfumes mount beneath a burning moonB
