The World Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCC DDEEFFGGBB FFHHII

The world is world of ups and downsA
A world of smiles and frownsA
The sunshine followed the rainB
And pleasures cometh in the tracks of painB
There's joy that succeeded sorrowC
Tho cloudy today 'twill be sunny tomorrowC
-
Spring cometh in the path of WinterD
And spring into summer doth enterD
Dawn cometh after nightE
And darkness gives place to lightE
So don't worry my dearF
If thy life be drearF
For 'tis a long lane that hath no turningG
Thy grief is only a school for learningG
To appreciate the joy that cometh after painB
And value more greatly the sunshine after rainB
-
And all the grief and all the sorrowF
We shall forget in the bright tomorrowF
We shall wonder why we criedH
And laugh where once we sighedH
When cometh the happy dayI
When grief and pain shall pass awayI
