The Witch With Eyes Of Amber Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH CJKJ

I met a witch with amber eyesA
Who slowly sang a scarlet runeB
Shifting to an icy laughterC
Like the laughter of the moonB
-
Red as a wanton's was her mouthD
And fair the breast she bade me takeE
With a word that clove and clungF
Burning like a furnace flakeE
-
But from her bright and lifted bosomG
When I touched it with my handH
Came the many needled coldnessI
Of a glacier taken landH
-
And lo the witch with eyes of amberC
Vanished like a blown out flameJ
Leaving but the lichen eatenK
Stone that bore a blotted nameJ
