The Refuge Of Beauty Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDE FFG HIG

From regions of the sun's half dreamt decayA
All day the cruel rain strikes darkly downB
And from the night thy fatal stars shall frownB
Beauty wilt thou abide this night and dayA
-
Roofless at portals dark and desperateC
Wilt thou a shelter unrefused imploreD
And past the tomb's too hospitable doorD
Evade thy lover in eluding HateE
-
Alas for what have I to other theeF
Chill halls of mind dank rooms of memoryF
Where thou shalt dwell with woes and thoughts infirmG
-
This rumor throng d citadel of SenseH
Trembling before some nameless imminenceI
And fellow guestship with the glutless WormG
