The Potion Of Dreams Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACDDC EFGHFG

What occult Circe of the hours of sleepA
Mixeth the Cup of Dreams with potent artB
How doth the sorceress cunningly impartB
To it such wondrous virtues and where steepA
That powerful potion Opium poppies' brewC
Nor hasheesh from far India's mystic landD
Have not such properties nor can commandD
Visions of more fantastic form and hueC
-
Pleasure and pain in mingling mysticalE
Are in that cup There past and present meetF
With pageantry of earthly sights and soundsG
Abysses bottomless heights that appallH
With plainlands infinite about their feetF
And seas horizonless lie in its boundsG
