The Medusa Of The Skies Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA BCBDCD

Like a worm fretted visage from the tombA
The moon unswathes her hollow shrunken headB
Launching such light as foulders on the deadB
From pallid skies more death like than the gloomA
Under her beams the breasted lands assumeA
Dead hues and charnel shapes uncerementedB
And shadows that towering sepulchers might shedB
Move livid as the shadows on dials of doomA
-
On hills like tumuli and waters muteB
A whiteness steals as of a world made stillC
When reptant Death at last rears absoluteB
An earth now frozen by malefice of eyesD
Aeonian dooms and realm deep rigors fillC
The gaze of that Medusa of the skiesD
